Solid geometry word problems

The goal of this practice was to be able to solve problems concerning real-world situations with the volumes of cones, cylinders, and spheres. I had trouble remembering the equations used for the specific shapes but luckily I have been taking notes. When it comes to this kind of math, it irritates me because you have to be able to know the equations for both volume and surface area for over 4 shapes and it all gets confusing. I hate math and geometry related subjects.

Because I find this so hard to comprehend, I decided to watch a few videos that would break down the math that I am just incapable at learning at the moment.

I wish this project could be done with. I am getting so bored learning the same material over and over and not having it stick. Then khan academy having only few lessons that relate to what I have to learn or try to learn. I am constantly reusing the same exercises and it isn’t making a difference. I wish there was a way to make it more enjoyable for me that way I would actually have a better hook when I am to practice it for half an hour. It was fun at first when I was physically making the shapes, but now I have made all the shapes and done the correct math for each of them. So I am just bored, tired,and not entertained. I wish there were fun and more exhilarating activities to participate in, such as games.

I decided to search for what I am asking for and I found a quizlet that is a good studying tool and has more interesting ways of learning the materials.

I like this quizlet. It has flashcards and many activities that motivate me to actually learn the material. Two games I find fun are match and gravity. They apply pressure that make me want to type to match the right answer to it “definition.” It is really fun and really makes me wanna participate. I am disappointed that I didn’t think to search this before hand. It would have been a more enjoyable class period the last three or four classes.
